Members of the Mitchell and Area Arts Group are generously auctioning off pieces of their art in support of the PCIN Libraries' fundraising project for a delivery van. Bids can be placed in the silent auction for David Doyle's piece until September 6 and the art is on display in the foyer of the library. See images of the art here.

Thursday afternoons from 2-3 pm will feature a different STEM activity each week. These free drop-in programs for ages 8+ run from July 4 - August 22.

Some programs will require a device such as an iPad or smartphone. If you have one, please bring it along; the library has a few extras.  Examples of programs include Stop/Start animation, Ozobots and scientific experiments.

Thanks to a kind donation from the Nater family, the Library has a Family Swim pass to the West Perth Lion's Pool. Starting today, it is available to be signed out and is good for 1 day use at the pool. Unfortunately, it cannot be reserved in advance.

Calling all children - grab a clipboard at the desk and then head upstairs to study the I Spy board and answer the questions. When you're finished, you can choose a prize from the treasure chest. The questions will be changed periodically over the summer to provide a new game.

Tweenie Tots

child sitting on floor reading a bookBooks are the focus and fun is the goal. Preschoolers are invited to join in the stories, songs, rhymes and crafts. Each week will be a new theme and a new opportunity to learn and laugh during this 45 minute program. Children must be accompanied by an adult.  The program is on Thursday mornings 10:30 -11:15 a.m. and the donation is $1/child/session. This program will start again on September 12.
