Children's Programs


Tweenie Tots

child sitting on floor reading a bookBooks are the focus and fun is the goal. Preschoolers are invited to join in the stories, songs, rhymes and crafts. Each week will be a new theme and a new opportunity to learn and laugh during this 45 minute program. Children must be accompanied by an adult.  The program is on Thursday mornings 10:30 -11:15 a.m. and the donation is $1/child/session. This program will start again on September 12.

Want to read with your children but you're in a hurry? No time to browse? To mark Family Literacy Day, Ready to Read Backpacks were launched. They are filled with a selection of handpicked children's books.

Summer Reading Program


The theme for this year's summer reading program is 'Read Around Town'. There are the same in-library groups as other years WITH THE ADDITION of drop-in programs out in the community.  The in-library groups have weekly themes, crafts and hands-on activities to enhance literacy skills and have fun.
